Waldo’s Gym in Oracle to host health fair

Where’s Waldo’s Gym? In Oracle of course. It will host a health fair on Saturday.

  The award-winning Waldo’s Gym in Oracle will be hosting a health fair. The first Waldo’s Gym Health & Fitness Expo is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The event will be inside the gym and in a blocked off part of the parking lot at 1995 W. American Ave. in Oracle. There will be vendors, products for sale, fun food and music.

  Dennis James will be holding a seminar on fitness, training, nutrition and diet at the Oracle Community Center beginning at 10 a.m. Following the seminar, at Waldo’s Gym, James will then host a meet and greet, sign autographs and have some of his DJ Nutrition products and Gorilla Wear for sale. Dennis James is a world renowned professional body builder, winning and placing in numerous body building competitions around the world including winning a Mr. Universe and a Mr. USA contest. He has been featured in many fitness and bodybuilding articles/magazines.

  The gym will be holding power lifting competitions beginning at noon. The events will be Bench Press, Squat Contest and Deadlift. The power lifting events will be based on age categories which are Teenage, Open and Master. There will also be a boxing tournament at 3 p.m. The boxing divisions will be divided by age categories.

  Javier Sanchez son of the gym’s founder Waldo Sanchez says he would like to see many families come out. He wants the kids to see there are alternatives to drugs and to learn about health and fitness.

  “Even coming from a small town, you can be someone and accomplish thing,” he said.
