Vincent Cruz

  Vincent Cruz passed away at 10 a.m. at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa AZ on May 16, 2017.
  Vincent was an Army Man and also served in the National Guard. He was a member of the 24th Infantry Division stationed in Munich, Germany. There he met the mother of his two children, Gary and Claudia. He also worked for ASARCO for 43 years.
  Vincent was a proud family man who played a big role in the Cruz Family. He was known as a leader as well as a protector of his family. He was known as someone who could always be counted on for anything, especially by his family. His hobbies were attending ASU Football games with family and friends and traveling.
  Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Cruz; mother, Dora Cruz; and a brother, Gavino Cruz. He is survived by his fiancé, Mary Helen Lopez; son, Gary Cruz, and daughter, Claudia Cruz. He leaves behind two brothers, Michael Cruz and Manny Cruz, and one sister, Mary Rose Sandoval. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Joseph Lopez, Brooke Lopez, Ashley Cruz, Brandon Cruz, Dezarae Estrada, Mason Salazar, Jaden Lopez, and Cristopher Lopez and three great-grandchildren, Joseph Lopez, Khloe Armenta, and Javier Briseño.
  A Vigil, Rosary, and Funeral Mass for Vincent will be conducted at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Hayden, AZ.
