Tucson– Vantage West Credit Union, (www.vantagewest.org) Southern Arizona’s largest credit union, is ready to officially celebrate its arrival in Tombstone. As any good neighbor would do, Vantage West Credit Union will host a celebratory open house 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12, to get to know its Tombstone membership and meet with members of the community.
The complimentary, family-friendly festivities will include lunch from local food trucks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Kettle Korn, a live radio remote, face painting and kids’ activities at the credit union branch, located at 218 S. Sumner.
“This is a great way for the community to get acquainted with Vantage West Credit Union, and the expanded services it brings to Tombstone residents,” Amanda Clark, Tombstone branch manager, said. “As Tombstone welcomes Vantage West Credit Union, our local members gain more opportunities and additional services while still enjoying the personal customer service they’ve grown accustomed to.”
Vantage West Credit Union entered the Tombstone market as a result of a merger with Tombstone Federal Credit Union, which became effective May 1st. The merger allowed Vantage West Credit Union to service the accounts of Tombstone Federal’s approximately 2,000 members as part of a seamless transition plan, which also included updates to services, website and technology, and the branch’s physical appearance.
“Tombstone is an important market for Vantage West Credit Union as we continue to expand throughout southern Arizona and bring new services to new members in new communities,” Robert D. Ramirez, president and CEO of Vantage West Credit Union, said. “Vantage West Credit Union looks forward to building and maintaining long-term relationships in Tombstone, where our newest branch will serve as a catalyst for opportunity and growth.”
Vantage West Credit Union is Southern Arizona’s largest credit union, with $1.3 billion in assets. The credit union has 16 branches in Pima, Pinal and Maricopa counties. Tombstone is its 17th branch and its first in Cochise County.
