Superior – Have you seen the 22 white crosses at the intersection of Stone Ave. and Heiner Dr. in Superior?

They represent the 22 military veterans that lose their own internal struggle and commit suicide, every single day.Right here, in America, about every 65 minutes, of every day, a veteran will end their own life.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. To raise awareness about the 22 military veterans that take their own lives, every day, 22 crosses have been erected in their honor.

The Veteran’s Higher Education Initiative urges that if you or someone you know is feeling suicidal, call the Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
