Trailer fire in Kearny displaces two; Red Cross offers assistance

Kearny Fire Department responded to multiple reports of a brush fire located in a ravine between the railroad tracks and homes on Jamestown Circle and Ivanhoe Rd. in Kearny.

Cause of the fire have not been determined, but according to witnesses who were watching the initial flames, the fire roared to life after the train came through causing a wind like effect and headed for the trailer park.

One trailer was destroyed and another was severely damaged before the blaze was contained.

Two adults were displaced and the American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter responded to evaluate the needs.

Also on scene was the Hayden Fire Department.
