Town of Mammoth calls recall election

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

The Town of Mammoth (Town Clerk/Manager) submitted a Call for Election to the Miner, last week, but, I am sure a lot of you missed it. I knew it was going to be in the Miner, and, I almost missed it.

The ad is so small that it is hard to find, let alone read. The actual print area is one inch by two inches. Why would the Town (Town Clerk/Manager and the clique) make it so small? Maybe they did not want anyone to see it.

The Call for Election is for a recall of Mayor Barcelo, Councilman Barcelo and Councilperson Regina Medina. The regular Call for Election is for Councilman Gallego, Councilman Romero and Councilperson Regina Medina. If anyone chooses to run against Councilperson Regina Medina in the Recall Election, they will have to fill out two candidate packets; one for the recall and one for the regular election. The candidate packets have to be turned in no later than May 28.

Another bit of information that might be of interest to the citizens of Mammoth is that a salaried employee was carrying, or is still carrying, an assault rifle and /or shotgun in the Town of Mammoth vehicle, and, shooting at the sewer pond and who knows where else.

I know the Town of Mammoth has hired convicted felons and, I, for one, do not want these people carrying weapons while they are around me or my family.

These people are driving up and down our streets, while our little ones are out playing. I know it is against the law for felons to possess firearms, but, your Town leaders seem to think it is okay. The Mayor, Vice Mayor and Police Commissioner turn a blind eye to the situation and threaten the employees that bring it up.

One more point of interest, at least to me. A recall was started against me. The circulators of the petition are using the same lies that they slandered and defamed me with as a reason for the recall. I proved in an open meeting that all of their accusations were nothing but lies, made up to make me look bad, because a recall was started against them.

If you honestly think that I am not working for you, the people, then, by all means, sign the petition; but, if you signed the petition because of the lies they told you about me, then, you have the right to have your name removed.

How low will these people sink? Is this the kind of people you want running your town? Do you really want felons going up and down your streets, carrying firearms? A stray bullet can kill the very innocent. The sewer pond is not a quarter of a mile from the highway, so, if he will shoot there, he will shoot anywhere.

The choice is yours. The election is August 26./s/ Joseph S. Brewer
