Town of Hayden to have Truth in Taxation Hearing: rate is decreasing

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

The Town of Hayden is proposing a decrease in its Primary Tax Rate. The Rate will go from the present $7.63 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation to $4.57 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation.

Even though the rate will decrease; the total amount of taxes collected will increase by approximately $400,000. This is due to an increase in the overall assessed valuation of property within the Town limits.

There will be two Public Hearings to discuss and receive input on this matter. They will be held on Monday, July 23, and Monday, July 30, at 5 p.m. at 520 N. Velasco Avenue in the Town of Hayden Council Chambers. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
