Three players from Copper Corridor receive honors

Ray Bearcats’ seniors Dominic Bravo and Quentin Camacho, along with San Manuel Miners’ senior Angelic Zuniga were named Honorable Mention on The American Family Insurance Division IV All-State Basketball teams.

The American Family Insurance All-State boys and girls basketball teams were selected by the azcentral.com sports high school staff.

Bravo, multi-sport athlete at Ray, averaged almost 20 ppg this season for the Bearcats. He made 31 3-pt field goals and shot 73 percent from the free-throw line. Camacho averaged 23.5 ppg, made 66 3-pt field goals, and shot 85 percent for the free throw line.

Zuniga, a multi-sport athlete at San Manuel, averaged a double-double with 16 ppg and 11 rpg for the Miners.

After a short return to Des Plaines in 1997, he returned to the Phoenix area two years later. He and his wife, Kelli, have three sons – AJ, Kyle, and Kade.
