SENIOR CENTER SERVICES Superior Senior Center located at 360 West Main Street, Superior, offers meals in the center for a suggested donation of $2 for persons 60 or older, or those who have a disability. The price of a meal for those under 60 is $4. The meals are served at noon. If anyone needs transportation to or from the center, the suggested donation is $1 for those 60 or older. The price is $1 mandatory for those under 60. We ask that you call by 7:30 a.m. to ensure that your ride is provided for you and to verify your location. THRIFT STORE The Superior Seniors have a thrift store which takes clean, gently used items to sell. The hours of operation are 9 a.m. to noon. The store is adjacent to the Senior Center. Please come in and browse the selection of household items, books and clothing.
SUPERIOR ZUMBA CLASSES Attend Zumba classes with Ericka Real Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. at the Kennedy Elementary Multipurpose Room behind the front building. Class is free, but donations are welcome. Call 520-827-1163 for more information.
MUSEUM CELEBRATION Come to the Superstition Mountain Museum, 4087 N. Apache Trail in Apache Junction for a two-day celebration of the legend, lore and culture of the Superstition Mountain region of Arizona. The Yellow Bird Native American dancers will perform both days at 11 am and 1 pm. Also, there will be a gold panning demonstration, artist and vendor booth, music and food, an Apacheland Movie Ranch diorama unveiling, and a new Johnny Western exhibit in the Apacheland barn. The fun starts on Jan. 19 at 9 pm and ends at 9 pm on Jan. 20. The $1 donation per person includes activities and museum admission.

SUPERIOR HOME TOUR AND ANTIQUE SHOW See several homes including the beautifully renovated Casillas home and Mattie Earp’s “home” at the Fifth Annual Superior Home Tour, Art and Antique Show Jan. 26 and 27. There will also be an Antique Show at the Magma Club; a pancake breakfast on Sat. from 7:30 am – 10 am at Porter’s Cafe; historian speakers; didgeridoo lessons; live music and more. Tour tickets are $12 or $10 prepaid, and include a 2-for-1 pass to the Renaissance Festival and the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. SUPERIOR HAS HEART Save the date for the fifth annual Superior Has Heart benefit for the American Cancer Society. The event will be at Los Hermanos on Sun., Feb. 17, from 1 pm – 6 pm, and include a steak dinner by Red Bear Outfitters and music by Armor Gomez. Tickets are $20 per person. Please bring pictures of loved ones affected by cancer to the event for display. QUEEN VALLEY COMMUNITY QUILT SHOW The Scrap Rats 11th Annual Queen Valley Community Quilt Show and Viewers’ Choice Awards will take place on Sat., March 2, from 9:30 am – 4 pm at the Queen Valley Recreation Hall.
