GCC HOLIDAY SCHEDULE Gila Community College will be closed for the holidays beginning Dec. 17, to reopen Jan. 2. The spring 2013 semester begins Wed., Jan. 9. Registration is underway, now. Students needing information may call the Gila Pueblo Campus in Globe at 928-425-8481, the Payson Campus at 928-468-8039, or the San Carlos Campus at 928-475-5981; and may register at these campuses Mon. – Fri. from 8 am – 5pm , through Dec. 14 or beginning Jan. 2. Obtain the Spring 2014 schedule at www.gilaccc.org. GCC wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

CAC CAMPUS SCHEDULE All Central Arizona College locations will be closed for winter break beginning Mon., Dec. 24, to Tues., Jan. 1. Locations throughout the district will reopen on Wed., Jan. 2. Students still can register online at www.centralaz.edu throughout the winter break. The 2013 spring semester will begin after 4:30 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 18, with a variety of classes including Weekend College. The final day to register for the spring semester is Sat., Jan. 19.

MEDICAL SUPPLY LOANING CLOSET A loaning closet for medical supplies, free of charge to area residents, has been established at Constitution Hall / the Senior Citizen Building in Kearny, located just beyond the swimming pool. Wheel chairs, walkers, crutches and other supplies have been gathered through efforts of the Seniors and the Copper Area Health Volunteers. KEARNY ELKS LODGE MEETINGS Kearny Elks Lodge #2478 meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m. The lounge has a new schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 5 – 8 p.m.

ADULT BOY SCOUT LEADERS NEEDED Boy Scouts of America, Troop 872, based in Kearny and sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS is searching for Adult Leaders that are willing to volunteer time and talents to assist in building the next generation of leaders. ATTENTION LOBOS FANS 65 AND OLDER The Hayden Winkelman School District is honoring all Lobo fans ages 65 and older who reside in our district with a lifetime Royal Senior Pass. This pass will allow you free admission to all home games. To receive your free pass please fill out the required form at the high school office. CITIZEN OF THE YEAR Citizen of the Year nominations are due at the Copper Basin Chamber of Commerce office in a sealed envelope by Fri., Feb. 1.

PIONEER DAYS Pioneer Days 2013 has been moved up a week due to Holy Week and Easter, and will now be Mar. 21-24. The theme is Legends and Lore.
