The Town of Queen Creek and Friends of Horseshoe Park Receive AzTEC Awards

The Town of Queen Creek’s Marketing, Communications and Recreation Department and the Friends of Horseshoe Park recently received three awards at the Arizona Talent in Event Concepts (AzTEC) annual awards ceremony. Awards were received for the Battle of the Badge in the Best Social Media Program category, Special Kids Rodeo for Best Charity Promotion and Roots N Boots for Best Event Poster. The AzTEC Awards recognize outstanding festivals, event production and promotion in the state of Arizona.

“Queen Creek offers many great programs and events for residents and visitors alike,” said Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney. “It takes talented staff and community volunteers to provide successful events; receiving recognition at the AzTEC awards is a reminder of the quality things we have happening here in Queen Creek.”

aztecBattle of the Badge is a signature component of the Founders’ Day event; the second annual Founders’ Day celebration will be held this Saturday, Sept. 26 from 5-9p.m. at Founders Park, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road. Presented by Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, the event will include fun activities, great music and entertainment, in addition to the Battle of the Badge competition.
