Teresa Eudave Diaz-Gonzalez “Chita” was born Aug. 2, 1963 in Kearny, Arizona. Teresa died Aug. 1, 2015 on a motorcycle ride near Farmington, New Mexico. Welcoming her into heaven are her brothers Pete Jr., Robert, and Peter Eudave. She is survived by her loving parents, Carmen and Pete Eudave; her brothers, Manuel and Joseph Eudave; her children, Jose and his wife Danielle, and Jenna Diaz-Gonzalez; and her two grandchildren, Leila and Max Diaz-Gonzalez.

Teresa lived at Grand Canyon for 16 years where she enjoyed being outdoors hiking, running and exploring one of the Seven Wonders of the World. She was proud to work for the National Park Service, where she always challenged herself to achieve her best. One of her proudest professional accomplishments was becoming red card certified for wildland fire.

Teresa, Terre as many knew her, was an untamed spirit. Her favorite hobby was riding motorcycles. Recently, Terre spent much of her time at the clubhouse and on motorcycle trips around Arizona.

A joyous person, Terre had a memorable smile and a contagious, fun-loving personality. Those who knew her, remember Terre adorned with turquoise jewelry and the smell of her sweet perfume. Terre’s family meant the world to her; she called her mother and children routinely to brighten their days with funny stories and to plan adventures. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior, Arizona on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.; Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., with interment following at Fairview Cemetery.

Family was assisted by Superior Funeral Home. Online memorial at www.superiorfuneral.com.
