A car wash was held at the Oracle Fire Department on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. The car wash was organized by the Rite of Passage Sycamore Canyon Academy. Students from the academy washed cars for donations. The donations were going to Chase Bank for the Yarnell 19 Firefighters’ families. The Oracle Fire Department donated the water and their site for the event. Kris Herman, community service project manager for Sycamore Canyon said the students washing cars were members of his Fire Science class.
