Superior Police Report – September 5, 2018

  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

  Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

Aug. 9

  Andrew T. Guerrero, 48, Superior, was arrested in the area of Magma Ave. and Lime St. on warrants issued out of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) for dangerous drugs and pre-adjudication rule warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

  Marisa N. Hernandez, 25, Superior, was arrested in the 400 block of East St. on a failure to appear (FTA) warrant issued out of PCSO. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 10

  Mary M. Searrin, 44, Superior, was arrested in the 600 block of Lime St. and was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also arrested on two PCSO FTA warrants. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Forgery was reported in the 800 block of Hwy. 60.

  Reppert D. Cassadore Jr., 41, San Carlos, was arrested in the 1100 block of Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released.

Aug. 13

  Gary M. Montiel, 35, Superior, was arrested in the area of Church Ave. and Hill St. and was charged with driving on a revoked license. He was cited and released.

Aug. 14

  Jessica R. Ochoa, 40, Superior, was arrested in the 100 block of Porphyry St. on two FTA warrants issued out of PCSO. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 15

  Gregory A. Broetzmann, 47, Superior, was arrested in the 300 block of Palo Verde Dr. and was charged with disorderly conduct/domestic violence (DV). He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 16

  Michael P. Casey, 29, San Carlos, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 177 and Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released.

Aug. 17

  Thomas P. Lopez, 64, Superior, was arrested in the 400 block of Copper St. and was charged with false reporting to law enforcement. He was cited and released.

  Jess A. Jimenez, 61, Superior, was arrested in the area of Newmont St. and was charged with trespassing. He was also arrested on a pre-adjudication warrant and an FTA warrant, both issued by PCSO, and was trnasported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Cassandra E. Corona, 29, Superior, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault/DV and disorderly conduct/DV. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 18

  Christopher Martinez, 44, Superior, was arrested in the 400 block of Main St. and was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening/intimidation. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 20

  John R. Soriano, 40, Superior, was arrested in the 700 block of Sonora St. and was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was also arrested on a parole violation warrant issued by the Arizona Department of Corrections, an FTA warrant issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and a contempt of court warrant issued by the Gila County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 22

  Theft was reported in the 100 block of Neary Ave.

Aug. 23

  Robert C. Hernandez, 47, Superior, was arrested in the 600 block of Wight St. on a probation violation warrant issued out of PCSO. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  An accident without injuries was reported in the 400 block of Main St.

  David L. McKendrick, 46, Dudleyville, was arrested in the 1100 block of Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. He was also arrested on a post adjudicated rule warrant issued out of PCSO. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 25

  Emma M. Brown, 33, San Carlos, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 60 and Western Ave. and was charged with driving on a suspended license. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 26

  Benjamin R. Vasquez, 49, Superior, was arrested in the 100 block of Neary Ave. and was charged with criminal trespassing. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Aug. 27

  Theft of a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Copper St.

Aug. 28

  Charlene W. Evans, 47, Superior, was arrested in the 300 block of Gibbs St. on an FTA warrant issued by PCSO. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Theft was reported in the 200 block of Garrott Ave.

  An accident without injuries was reported in the area of Hwy. 60.

Aug. 29

  Theft was reported in the 200 block of Garrott Ave.

  A hit and run accident was reported in the 1100 block of Hwy. 60.

  Charles O. Clark, 53, Superior, was arrested in the 300 block of Neary Ave. and was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening/intimidation. He was cited and released.

  Calls not listed include traffic stop (99), disturbance (9), information (6), welfare check (9), suspicious activity (9), civil matter (3), animal complaint (8), alarm drop (23), agency assist (10), trespassing (2), 911 hang-up (1), parking violation (2), attempt to locate (2), medical (4), smoke/fire (3), field interview/follow-up (9), citizen assist (3), victim’s rights notification (1), traffic hazard (2) and utility problem (1).

  The Superior Police and Fire Departments have contracted all dispatch services to the Pinal County Sheriff (POLICE) and Florence PD (FIRE). As a result of these changes, you need to know some new phone numbers.
