  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

  Activity listed July 12-25

July 13

  Jerlynda L. Sanchez, 41, Ft. Apache, was arrested at milepost 227 on Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. She was cited and released.

  An accident on private property was reported in the 500 block of Hwy. 60.

July 14

  Daniel R. Alvarado, 52, Superior, was arrested in the 400 block of Highlands Dr. and was charged with aggravated harassment and false reporting to law enforcement. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

July 16

  A hit and run accident was reported in the 300 block of Bridge St.

  Edward C. Contreras, 53, Superior, was arrested in the 100 block of Sunset Dr. and was charged with aggravated domestic violence. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

July 17

  Violation of a court order was reported in the 100 block of Lobb Ave.

July 18

  Benjamin D. Duarte, 38, Superior, was arrested in the 800 block of Brown St. and was charged with allowing an unauthorized minor to drive. He was citied and released.

July 19

  Erica J. Robles, 38, Superior, was arrested in the 100 block of Kellner Ave. on three failure to appear warrants issued out of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and one failure to appear warrant issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

July 20

  Vehicle theft was reported in the zero block of Pinal Ave.

  Blaine Wesley, 40, Peridot, was arrested in the 400 block of Main St. and was charged with promoting prison contraband, theft of services and disorderly conduct. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

July 21

  Burglary was reported in the 300 block of Kellner Ave.

  Burglary was reported in the 200 block of Wight St.

  Jose Juan Castaneda, 28, Superior, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 60 and was charged with escape, use of dangerous drugs, obstructing a highway, obstructing government operations, false reporting and trespassing. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Garrison L. Gregg, 45, Cibeque, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 60 and Belmont Ave. and was charged with having an open container of alcohol. He was cited and released.

July 22

  Theft was reported in the 200 block of Neary Ave.

July 23

  Regina M. Labonte, 56, Superior, was arrested in the 100 block of Porphyry St. and was charged with driving on a suspended license. She was cited and released.

  Calls not listed include traffic stop (34), disturbance (8), information (9), welfare check (4), suspicious activity (71, civil matter (3), animal complaint (2), alarm drop (7), agency assist (5), threats/harassment (1), trespassing (5), fraud (1), 911 hang-up (1), abandoned vehicle (3), attempt to locate (1), medical (1) and neighbor problem (1).

  The Superior Police and Fire Departments have contracted all dispatch services to the Pinal County Sheriff (POLICE) and Florence PD (FIRE). As a result of these changes, you need to know some new phone numbers.
