Superior Police Report

According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

May 31

Theft was reported in the 500 block of Valentine.

Possible theft was reported in the 100 block of Gray.

Victor Sosa, 25, Hayden, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license.

June 2

Burglary was reported in the 300 block of Mine.

June 3

A possible missing person was reported in the 1000 block of Highway 60.

June 4

Johnathan Easly, 29, Superior, was arrested and charged with assault/domestic violence.

Burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Edna.

Possible theft was reported in the 800 block of Western.

Possible illegal fireworks were reported in the 800 block of Wilhoyt.

Calls not listed include 14 traffic stops, one medical call, five welfare checks, eight suspicious activity reports, three fires, five animal complaints, five disturbances, two information reports, three agency assists, two traffic hazards, two citizen assists, one found property report, one unwanted person, one alarm drop and one 911 hang-up.
