Superior Police Report

According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

May 22

Theft was reported in the 800 block of Western

May 23

Burglary was reported in the 700 block of Stone.

May 24

Burglary was reported in the 100 block of Copper.

Burglary was reported in the 200 block of Sunset.

Burglary was reported in the zero block of McKelveyville.

May 27

Possible theft was reported in the 100 block of Bridge.

May 28

Possible theft in the 300 block of Magma Flats.

Calls not listed include three traffic hazards, four found property reports, six alarm drops, 18 traffic stops, three animal complaints, five citizen assists, six disturbances, three welfare checks, one medical call, three fire calls, three suspicious activity reports, two juvenile problems, three information reports, three fraud reports, two harassment/threatening reports, two civil matters and two city code violations.

Citizens are reminded to call Silent Witness at 1-800-358-INFO, Crime Stop at 689-5611 or the Information Tip Line at 520-827-0065 if they have information that may help the police department in solving a crime.
