Superior Police Report

According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

July 10

Michael R. Ramirez, 27, Superior, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 60 and Western Ave. on a child support warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

Lee F. Tsosie, 48, Superior, was arrested in the area of Magma Ave. and Lime St. and was charged with driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released.

Evelyn V. Estrada, 44, Superior, was arrested on three failure to appear warrants issued out of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

July 11

Troy J. Vollberg, 41, Globe, was arrested at milepost 227 on Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released.

Steven M. Granillo, 25, Superior, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant issued out of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Felicia M. Campos, 31, Superior, was arrested in the 400 block of Main St. on a failure to appear warrant issued out of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Ashley E. Avendano, 25, Superior, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 60 and Belmont and was charged with driving on a suspended license. She was cited and released.

July 13

Theft was reported in the zero block of Mitchell Dr.

July 14

Criminal damage was reported in the 200 block of Palo Fierro Pl.

Fraud was reported in the 200 block of Palo Fierro Pl.

July 15

Theft was reported in the 800 block of Western Ave.

Mary M. Searrin, 41, Superior, was arrested in the 700 block of Sonora St. on a failure to appear warrant issued out of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

July 16

An accident without injuries was reported in the area of Hwy. 60.

Calls not listed include traffic stop (35), information (6), suspicious activity (8), animal complaint (3), alarm drop (1), agency assist (5), citizen assist (2), civil matter (2), welfare check (6), disturbance (7), traffic hazard (1), threats/harassment (1), 911 hang-up (1) and attempt to locate (2).

Citizens are reminded to call Silent Witness at 1-800-358-INFO, Crime Stop at 689-5611 or the Information Tip Line at 520-827-0065 if they have information that may help the police department in solving a crime.

The Superior Police and Fire Departments have contracted all dispatch services to the Pinal County Sheriff (POLICE) and Florence PD (FIRE). As a result of these changes, you need to know some new phone numbers.
