Superior Police Report

According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

Feb. 11

Burglary was reported in the 400 block of East.

Feb. 12

Possible theft was reported in the 100 block of Carney.

Criminal damage was reported in the zero block of Smock.

Feb. 13

Vehicle theft was reported in the 800 block of Spray.

Feb. 14

Violation of a court order was reported in the 400 block of Picket Post.

A drug offense was reported in the area of Hwy. 177 and Ray.

Feb. 16

A possible missing person was reported in the area of Stone and Main. The person was later located.

Feb. 17

Audrey Pino, 30, Superior, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Florence.

Feb. 19

Criminal damage was reported in the 200 block of Kellner.

Burglary was reported in the area of Hwy. 177.

Criminal damage was reported in the 100 block of Richard.

Feb. 20

Criminal damage was reported in the 200 block of Kellner.

Xavier Padilla, 24, Superior, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Superior.

A drug offense was reported in the 100 block of Mary.

Feb. 21

Theft of a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Palo Verde.

Possible theft was reported in the 800 block of Western.

Feb. 24

Theft was reported in the 800 block of Western.

A missing person was reported in the area of Main and Pinal.

Calls not listed include welfare check (12), disturbance (5), traffic stop (23), information (4), agency assist (3), animal complaint (5), citizen assist (4), parking violation (1), civil matter (5), alarm drop (6), harassment (3), utility problem (1), medical (4), found property (2), 911 hang-up (5), suspicious activity (3), unwanted person (1), fraud (2), attempt to locate (1), fire (1), traffic hazard (1) and neighbor problem (1).

Citizens are reminded to call Silent Witness at 1-800-358-INFO, Crime Stop at 689-5611 or the Information Tip Line at 520-827-0065 if they have information that may help the police department in solving a crime.

The Superior Police and Fire Departments have contracted all dispatch services to the Pinal County Sheriff (POLICE) and Florence PD (FIRE). As a result of these changes, you need to know some new phone numbers.
