Superior Police Report

According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

Oct. 15

Burglary was reported in the 700 block of Simpson.

Michelle Duarte, 28, Superior, was arrested on warrants issued by Gila County and Arizona Department of Public Safety.

A drug offense was reported in the 200 block of O’Donnell.

Oct. 16

Christopher Miranda, 24, Superior, was arrested on a warrant issued by Maricopa County and was also charged with probation violation.

Theft was reported in the 600 block of Main St.

Oct. 17

An accident was reported in the area of Brown.

Oct. 21

Christopher Martinez, 40, Superior, was arrested and charged with intimidation/endangerment, aggravated assault, assault and disorderly conduct.

Oct. 22

An accident was reported in the 200 block of Terrace.

Assault was reported in the zero block of Gorham.

Oct. 23

Criminal damage was reported in the 100 block of Mary Dr.

An accident was reported in the 400 block of Heiner.

Oct. 24

An accident was reported in the area of Hwy. 60.

Theft was reported in the 800 block of Church.

Oct. 25

Theft was reported in the 800 block of Spray.

Oct. 26

Possible violation of a court order was reported in the 200 block of Kellner.

Oct. 27

Burglary was reported to Superior Police.

An accident was reported in the 800 block of Western.

Oct. 28

Burglary was reported in the 800 block of Spray.

Burglary was reported to Superior Police.

Calls not listed include welfare check (1), disturbance (12), traffic stop (18), alarm drop (4), information (7), agency assist (3), animal complaint (7), suspicious activity (5), 911 hang-up (1), medical assist (3), fraud (2), citizen assist (3), attempt to locate (1), abandoned vehicle/parking violation (2), unwanted person (3), emergency message delivered (1), traffic hazard (1), utility problem (1), found property (1) and civil matter (2).

Citizens are reminded to call Silent Witness at 1-800-358-INFO, Crime Stop at 689-5611 or the Information Tip Line at 520-827-0065 if they have information that may help the police department in solving a crime.
