Superior Police Report

According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

June 5

Possible violation of a court order was reported in the 800 block of Martin.

June 6

Billy McWhorter, 55, Superior, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A drug offense was reported to police.

June 7

Isabel Griego, 31, Superior was arrested on a warrant issued out of Apache Junction.

Calls not listed include suspicious activity (1), animal complaint (2), welfare check (1), medical (3), disturbance (4), 911 hang-up (3), traffic stop (9), alarm drop (6), civil matter (2), information (7), agency assist (5), harassment/threatening (1), utility problem (2), citizen assist (3), found property (1), neighbor problem (1), parking violation (1) and illegal dumping (1).
