Superior Police Report 11-7

According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

Oct. 25

Roberto Luz, 20, Casa Grande, was arrested on two warrants issued out of Pinal County.

Oct. 26

Theft was reported in the 500 block of Highway 60.

Oct. 27

Candace Nelson, 47, Superior, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Pinal County.

Possible burglary was reported in the 300 block of Palo Verde.

Oct. 28

A drug offense was reported in the 800 block of Western.

Possible criminal damage was reported in the 100 block of Richard.

Theft was reported to police at the police station.

Oct. 29

Dominic Guzman, 41, Superior, was arrested and charged with robbery.

Augustin Castro, 41, Superior, was arrested and charged with criminal damage-domestic violence (DV) and disorderly conduct-DV.

Calls not listed include three animal complaints, four agency assists, six suspicious activity reports, 15 information reports, two utility problems, six disturbances, three alarm drops, three juvenile problems, 22 traffic stops, one civil standby, three medical calls, six civil matters, one curfew violation, four welfare checks, one illegal dumping report, two citizen assists, one 911 hang-up and two attempts to locate.
