The Superior Optimist Club held its second annual Halloween Brunch at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort. Funds raised from the brunch will benefit the Miracle on Main St. event.

This year the club is raising additional funds to install improved electrical infrastructure at the Besich Park. The improved infrastructure will allow for the park to have year round lighting and improved holiday lighting displays. Those wishing to donate to the lighting project and park improvements should contact JoAnn Besich at 520-827-0592.

The 11th annual Miracle on Main St. Holiday Light Parade and Festival will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014. The event will begin downtown at 4 p.m. with train rides and small amusements for the kids. Parade line up will be at 5:30 p.m. at the JFK parking lot and the parade will leave the parking lot at 6:30 p.m. The Optimist Club is still looking for groups to host booths and floats for the parade. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three parade entries.

If you are interested in getting involved with the parade or festival, please contact Mila Besich-Lira at 520-827-0676.
