Superior Head Start learns about community

Willa Ficcara, owner of the SunFlour Market, sings songs to visiting preschoolers.

  The students at Superior Head Start took a walking field trip to the SunFlour Market on Friday.   Willa Ficcara, owner of the market, sang songs and read to the children after they took a tour of the SunFlour Market.  The students were learning about local businesses and how they help the community. 

  The Superior Head Start is looking for volunteers to come in and read to the children, the time volunteered helps with their in-kind match which is needed to help keep the Head Start open in Superior.  Community members are encouraged to drop in and read stories to the students.

  Head Start is located at 150 N. Lobb Ave.
