The Town of Superior is in dire need of a responsible and effective recycling program. It’s bad enough that we have just elected a national government that denies climate change. Now, our own town government seems determined to follow suite, and continue to neglect its responsibilities to protect our environment by making recycling available and accessible to our people and businesses.
Several years ago, we had an efficient recycling system that provided containers to every residence and business. Everyone was enthusiastic about it, except our town leaders. They eliminated the program to save a very minimal cost.
Recently, the recycling bin in our town center was removed. Local businesses demanded the town remove it, so the lot could be used for parking.
It’s time for Superior to join the 21st Century. I urge everyone to contact the town government and demand a responsible recycling program.
Respectfully,
