Students commended for efforts to collect items for veterans

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the students in your school system for their contributions of comfort items, toiletries, and hand written Christmas Cards for our Veterans in the Tucson Veterans Hospital, and, also our homeless vets. I, also, want to thank a teacher in your system, Deb Mansager, who organized the events. This is the second year she and the students helped our veterans at Christmas time. I had the privilege, along with her husband Drew, of unloading 11 boxes of goods at the hospital, before Christmas.

Patriotism is alive and well in the San Manuel system. What a great group of students you have, along with their teachers. They took the time and effort to recognize those who devoted their lives to help make our country as great as it is. As the Knights of Columbus representative at the hospital, and for our “Serving Those Who Served”program, I am so proud of what you do.

  Sincerely,

/s/ James Maino
