Kitt Peak National Observatory Visitor Center invites you to enjoy a night of live music under the stars.  This very special open air concert is scheduled for Friday, December 6, at 4:15pm-8:30pm in the National Observatory’s designated Picnic Area.

Those attending Stars & Music are to arrive late afternoon, just before dark, with their own lawn chairs and warm clothes for the evening.  Guests will get comfortably arranged and settle in, watch a gorgeous mountain sunset and enjoy live, astronomically-themed music provided by Tucson Area Flute Circles and Kitt Peak’s own Sheri Loftin, musician and astronomist.  As the skies darken and Stars & Music continues into the early evening hours, portable telescopes are provided for guests to observe numerous astronomical objects. Visitors to the mountain can also just relax and gaze at the heavens, seeing a glimpse of an occasional meteor or more!
Hot beverages are available at a nominal cost. Guests are encouraged to bring snacks.

Stars & Music is by reservation only.
RSVP: 520-318-8726
Cost is $40 for adults, $15 for children 8-16.
Kitt Peak Members are Free with Members’ Card
