The calendar may indicate it’s still winter season, but the start of San Manuel’s baseball and softball seasons means spring is in the air.
The Lady Miners, one of state’s most successful softball teams, open their season this Friday, Feb. 24 at Santa Cruz Valley in Eloy. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The San Manuel baseball team will play two games this week, beginning at Ray on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The Miners will also play at Santa Cruz Valley on Friday. Both baseball games are scheduled for 4 p.m.
