Eight local students from Superior High School left on Saturday for a seven-day trip to the Family Career Community Leaders of America National Competition.  These SHS students each earned their trip to Nashville by competing in the State FCCLA Competition.

The club members will compete against FCCLA chapters from all over America.  Included in the conference is leadership development for the students and the opportunity to participate in organized tours of Nashville.  Funds for the trip were provided by the Cobre Valley Institute of Technology and the parents of the student.

FCCLA is one the Career Technical Education student groups that is supported by CVIT and the Superior Unified School District.  Students in the club host various community and school events each year. Their main event is the Cancer Fight by Candlelight event held each Spring.
