Sherry ‘Lyn’ Lutes

Sherry “Lyn” Lutes, 68, passed away April 24, 2013, in Tucson.

Lyn was born on Dec. 21, 1944 in South Bend, Indiana, but was truly a daughter of Superior, where she spent her childhood.

Lyn was proceeded in death by her mother Edna, father Lowell and brother Dale.

Lyn was a devoted special education teacher for 36 years, teaching children that any obstacle can be overcome. Lyn loved teaching but she especially enjoyed the time she spent teaching on the Reservation in Sells, AZ.

Lyn was a devout Christian throughout her life. She was a very caring and giving woman. Always there with a word of advice, Lyn, was as much of a pillar of knowledge as she was a pillar of strength. She was kind, stubborn, but always eager to learn. Lyn was a dear friend that anyone would be blessed to have. She will forever be loved and missed.

A special day of remembrance will be held to honor Lyn’s life, on Sunday June 2, 2013, at Midvale Christian Center, 6670 S. Indian Agency Rd., Tucson, AZ 85746 from 2 to 5 p.m.
