Services offered at the San Manuel Library – Check It Out!

In a continuing effort to help our community maintain vital services, the San Manuel Library is adding to our resources and programs.

BUSINESS CENTER

We have the beginnings of a nice business center which features computers with internet access to help you maintain communication with friends, family, and businesses. If you have your own laptop, tablet, or smart phone, you may use it at the library with our free Wi-Fi.

For a small fee, you can print from the computers (black/white or color) and make copies. Faxes may be sent and received for a small fee.

Our digitalization station is where you may convert older cassette tapes, DVDs, slides, negatives, and video tapes to digital files (free; appointment required).

Our newest service is notary public availability—call the library at 385-4470 to make an appointment.

A library card is required for most services but a card will initially be issued free of charge with identification and confirmation of Pinal County address. Winter residents and long-term guests can obtain a free library card through a special program. Lost cards may be replaced for a $2 fee. Money owed for fines or lost items must be paid for the patron to be available to use library services.

PROGRAMS

We are continually searching for ways to expand the programs offered to the community.

The Summer Reading Program for all children, toddler through high school, will kick off with sign-up week June 4-9 with a special afternoon on June 7 that will feature a visit with “Elvis” and a craft. Summer Reading will be June 11-July 11, with weekly rewards for meeting the weekly goal and an award program and party for readers and family on July 11.

Monday Movie Matinees and snacks will be every week from June 11-July 2.

Craft Thursdays will be every week from June 14th-June 28th. Check with library or Facebook page for time and place or pick up an activity calendar at the library.

FUTURE PROGRAMS

The community is invited to a Magic Show & Juggling Show on July 12.

All ages are welcome to the planned Craft programs for Back-to -School in August, Fall Celebration in October, and Holiday Decorations in December. More information on these will be available later by contacting the library or checking our Facebook page.

ADULT PROGRAMS

Book Club meets at 10 a.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Crochet and Conversation meets at 1 p.m. every Monday.

Conversational Spanish Class meets at 9:30 a.m. every Monday. Check with the library for further information.

Permanent continuous Book Sale items are between the new book shelf and DVD section.

Why not head over to the library and check it out.
