The Poston Butte girls’ basketball team took care of their part on Thursday night, defeating Alchesay 67 – 65 in overtime to advance to the Division III Section V Championship game on Saturday night.

Apparently the Broncos’ boys’ team didn’t want to see the girls travel to Valley Christian High School by themselves.

On Friday night, the boys’ team upset No. 2-seed – and section tournament host – Valley Christian 58 – 48 to advance to the championship game, which will also be played on Saturday night.
