Second-ranked Lady Panthers remain consistent

The second-ranked Superior softball team won both games last week versus Hayden and Ft. Thomas, respectively. The Panthers have scored 10 or more runs in each of their last four victories.

Against Ft. Thomas, the Panthers fell behind 2 – 0 after three innings before scoring in each of the final four innings.

Junior Cierra Navarrette went 2-for-4 with a triple, a homerun and two RBI. Ariel Alonzo had two hits, including a double. Ariana San Miguel also doubled for the Panthers.

Sophomore Ivie Lopez pitched a complete game to earn the victory. She allowed three runs, two earned, on eight hits and two walks. She struck out six Ft. Thomas batters.

Upcoming schedule: Apr. 14 vs. Salome. The game is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
