San Manuel and Mammoth pool open for the summer

The San Manuel and Mammoth swimming pools are open for the season and offer cool refreshment in the summer months.

For the San Manuel pool, admission is $1 with under four free with a paying adult. Season passes are available $65 for an immediate family pass and $35 for single.

For free swimming lessons, contact Cynthia Stratton at (520) 385-9854 or by email at cynalastra@yahoo.com. The swimming lessons are made possible by a Grant from Saddlebrooke Community Outreach and Mammoth San Manuel Community Schools.

Day swimming is Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Night swimming is Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.

The swim team practice is Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Pool parties are available for $100 for the first hour $50 for each additional hour. There is a three-hour minimum.

There will be a lap swim only period starting on Jun. 11, 2013 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 am. The cost is $25 a month, not retroactive, or $60 for the season which will run approximately 17 weeks.

The Mammoth Pool admission is also $1 with kids under four free with a paying adult. Season passes are available for $65.00 per family and $53 for a single.

Adult Fitness Swim is Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 10 a.m.

The first swim meet of the season for the San Manuel Sea Lions will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013. Warm up is at 8 a.m. and the events begin at 9 a.m. The Sea Lion Swim Team have meets on June 15, 22, 29 and July 13, 20.

Come out and cheer on the swim team. It is great fun to watch the youth swimming competition and there are plenty of concessions available.
