The Safe Journey House (SJH), an advocacy center against domestic abuse, celebrates its one year anniversary this month. In this past year, SJH has provided information and supportive services to over 80 people – men, women and children – who are in or had been in a domestic abusive situation, or who want to help someone they know who is.
Both individual and group support services are offered, all free of charge. SJH is staffed by a large group, mostly volunteers, who share a common passion for helping people find relief from abuse.
Acelebration honoring all the people who have helped make the Safe Journey House a success will be held at a later date.
