After losing their season opener to Desert Christian last week, 34 – 18, the Lady Miners didn’t fare much better in their second game, falling to Benson, 42 – 15.
In two games so far this season, the Lady Miners are averaging only 16.5 points per game and have lost both games by an average of 21.5 points per game.
This season figured to be a little different after losing a number of players of last year’s team that reached the State Championship Tournament.
The Lady Miners play their first road game of the year on Dec. 4 at Tanque Verde. The Lady Hawks are riding a three-game losing streak after winning their season opener versus Benson.
Thursday’s game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
