Superior – After 20 years of honorable service as a United States Marine, Ray B. Urquieta attended Arizona State University with the same vigor he applied to serving his country. Upon graduating from ASU with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, in Elementary Education, Ray intends to make a difference in his community, dedicating his life to leading and mentoring our youth.

“We are extremely proud of his accomplishments as a United States Marine, college graduate and now as an Elementary Teacher.” says Ernest Urquieta. “He could not have accomplished either feat without the complete and selfless support of his wife of 25 years, Kristine.”

“Ray is a positive role model both at home and his community,” Ernest added. “We are extremely proud of him and know he will make a difference educating our youth!”

Mr. Urquieta is the son of Magdaleno “Meno” and Alice Urquieta, and grandson of Bernardo and Sarah Tovar of Superior.
