Fans at Monday’s non-league challenge between the Ray Bearcats and the host Canyon State Academy Rams saw Ray’s basketball squad overcome Canyon State Academy by a score of 67-59. With the victory, Ray improved its record to 20-5 on the campaign.

The ‘Cats then turned around and nipped the host Fort Thomas Apaches 60-54 in Thursday’s league test putting their record at 21-5.

Ray scored 58 points and held the visiting San Manuel Miners to 46 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Friday. The team entertained the Seniors Night crowd with an exciting game including three dynamic dunks by senior Erik Goodwin.

The Bearcats now sport a 22-5 record as they head into the playoffs.

The team will open play in the first round of sectionals against San Miguel at Cienega at 7:30 p.m. this evening.
