Ralph ‘Ploga’ Maldonado

Ralph “Ploga” Maldonado, 90, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015.

He was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Morenci, Arizona, the son of late Miguel and Beatriz Maldonado, Ralph was one of 9 children. On Jan. 26, 1947, he married Mary Peru in Solomon, Arizona. They later settled in Oracle where they raised their four children.

He was employed by Magma Copper Company for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

Ralph is survived by his beautiful wife of 68 years, Mary; children, Yolanda (Pablo) Medina, Daniel (Tessie) Maldonado; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; his sister, Nellie Sanchez; and his brothers, Arthuro and Veto Maldonado.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Ralph and Louie; his parents, Miguel and Beatriz; his sisters, Consuelo, Veva, and Mary; and his brothers, Pete and Sonny.

Ralph was greatly loved by family and friends and will be missed, but not forgotten.
