Barbara and Dub Ragels

Barbara and Delbert “Dub” Ragels have been chosen as the 2017 Grand Marshals for the Oracle Oaks Festival.

The Ragels have lived in the Tri-Community for more than 60 years.

Barbara came to San Manuel from Tucson in 1955. Her dad worked for the San Manuel Railroad. She is a member of the San Manuel High School Class of 1960.

Dub came to San Manuel from South Dakota in 1957 and went to work at Magma Copper as a pipefitter.

The couple met in 1958 and married that same year. And they have been happily married ever since (59 years and counting)!

Dub continued working at the mine until a strike shut down the mine in the 1970s. Needing to work, Dub got a job as a plumber. He then quit Magma and started his own plumbing business, Dub’s  Plumbing in Oracle.  He had the building where Dub’s Plumbing & Supply is located in Oracle built in 1999.

Congratulations to the Ragels, long time Oracle residents and friends of the community.
