Rachel Leigh White, one of the co-defendants in the San Manuel Bank of the West six- year embezzlement case, has been moved to a residential re-entry center in Phoenix.

White plead guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Embezzlement by a Bank Employee on February 27, 2012 and was sentenced to one year and one day on July 9, 2012. She has been serving time at a Bureau of Prisons women’s facility in California prior to her move to Phoenix.

Her co-defendant was Edna Barcelo Boger who is serving time at the Federal Correctional Institution in Phoenix. Boger’s release date is March 25, 2014.

The residential re-entry centers are also known as half-way houses and are designed to help the inmate prepare for release. They help the inmate to rebuild their ties with the community and offer assistance during this readjustment phase. Pre-release programs can include job counseling, job placement, and financial management assistance as well as other programs.

White is scheduled to be released on June 6, 2013. At that time she will begin serving three years on supervised probation which will include the payment of restitution.
