The Scrap Rats 11th Annual Queen Valley Quilt Show is on Sat., Mar. 2, at the Queen Valley Recreation Hall. Come see displays of quilts, including special exhibits and the Viewer’s Choice Awards.

Each year, there is a featured quilter invited to display their quilted masterpieces. This year, that quilter is Patty Friesz.

The Quilt Boutique Shop will be open to the public, offering various magazines, books, quilts and other quilting related items for purchase.

A king-sized Opportunity quilt will be raffled. Tickets will cost $1 each or purchase six for $5. Winners do not need to be present. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Queen Valley Fire Auxiliary.

To get there, take Highway 60 east to Florence Junction, continue two miles and turn left at the Queen Valley sign.

Drive four miles to town, turn right at the stop sign at Queen Valley Dr. Go one block to the Recreation Hall on the left side of the road. For lunch plans, look to your right, where, just across the road, you’ll find a restaurant favored by the locals.

Admission is $2, and children under 12 get in free. For more information, call 520-463-2089 or 480-882-9171.
