The Oracle Medical Equipment Loan Closet is now available to Tri-Community residents in need of medical equipment. The closet is in need of donations of all forms of medical equipment (except hospital beds). Equipment must be in safe working condition. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Join San Manuel’s Walking and Exercise Group. Healthy living doesn’t happen at the doctor’s office – exercise. From 8-9:30 a.m. at the San Manuel Senior Center on Avenue A. Sponsors ask for a $1 donation to help with the utility costs.

SAN MANUEL HISTORICAL SOCIETY The members of the San Manuel Historical Society want to thank the citizens of San Manuel for their support of our Thrift store down by the Credit Union. Due to your generous donations we have been able to reach out to help other organizations support the people and animals of the Tri-Community. With the holidays coming up, we hope to give more but we cannot do that without your continued support. If you have something you’d like to donate but cannot get it to the store, call Janice at 385-4593 after 2 pm. Large pieces are especially needed.

San Manuel Open Market is still going strong ever Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon at 801 McNab Parkway in front of the Community Presbyterian Church. Table space is only $5. The Mammoth-Winkelman Early Head Start is accepting enrollment applications for children 0-3 years for the 2012-2013 school year. Children must be three before Aug. 31, 2012. Parents must bring in proof of birth, guardianship, income and immunizations. Children with disabilities accepted. Call 520-487-2843 for more information.

San Manuel Museum, located in the Elks Lodge breezeway, is operated by the San Manuel Historical Society. It is now open on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for you to come and see items from San Manuel’s history!

The San Manuel Thrift Store is looking for volunteers to work one day, or more, per week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Thrift Store is run by the San Manuel Historical Society and proceeds from Thrift Store sales go to support the SM Museum, as well as the SM Library, Christmas Toy Drive, and other local charitable organizations.

Resource information for seniors is now available at Sun Life Clinic in San Manuel. Some of the information available is meant to aid caregivers in their work. Also available is medicine safety information for seniors. Stop in or call to get more information and phone numbers on these and other subjects. Need prayer? Call Community Presbyterian Church at 385-2381 and leave your prayer request. Messages will be checked daily. Also, you can join us for prayer Monday through Friday, 8-9 a.m., 801 McNab (top of McNab), San Manuel.

The Mammoth Community Center, 101 Fifth St., is open every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. for seniors. Join in on the games, information and refreshments. Senior potluck is held the second Wednesday of the month at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome and bring a friend.

MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT On Nov. 20 from 8 am – 4:30 pm Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens will be holding Medicare Open Enrollment as part of the SaddleBrooke Health Fair, 38759 S. Mountain Blvd., SaddleBrooke. Your healthcare changes from year to year, and your health plan may change the benefits and costs, each year, too. Open Enrollment is the one time of year that all people with Medicare can see what new benefits are offered and make changes to their coverage. Medicare Open Enrollment begins Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7.

OCC CRAFT FAIR The Oracle Community Center will hold a craft fair at the center on Sat., Dec. 8, from 8 am – 3 pm. Breakfast will be offered and there will be lots of craft tables full of wonderful items to purchase. Christmas shopping, anyone?

OCC PANCAKE BREAKFAST The Oracle Community Center will have a pancake breakfast on Sat., Dec. 8, from 7 am -11 am. Craft tables are available for $10, to sell your hand crafted items and raffles will be held for great baskets stuffed to the brim with wonderful items. FLAG FOOTBALL Flag Football will be played in Mammoth on Sat., Dec. 8; San Manuel on Wed., Dec. 12 and the championship will be played in San Manuel on Sat., Dec. 15.

DUDLEYVILLE LIGHT PARADE Dudleyville Light Parade will be on Sat., Dec 8, at 6 pm. No charge for entries. Santa Claus will meet with the kids and hand out treats after the parade at the fire station. Everyone is welcome to enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies.

MOBILE MAMMOGRAPHY IS COMING On Dec. 10, from 1:15 pm – 6 pm there will be Mobile On-site Mammography available by appointment at the San Manuel High School auditorium parking lot, 711 McNab Parkway in San Manuel.
