Postseason recognition for Miner runners

San Manuel Miner

San Manuel Cross-Country team members Andrea Castaneda and Patrick Lopez were both named to the respective AllSportsTucson.com Cross-Country All-Star Teams.

Castaneda, a senior, was the top Miners girls’ runner all season, finishing 17th with a medal at the recent state meet. She was selected Division IV First Team.

Lopez, also a senior, was the top Miners boys’ runner all season, finishing 51st at the recent state meet. He was selected Division IV Second Team.

Congratulations to both Miners’ runners.

Andrew Luberda began writing for Copper Area News Publishers (CANP) in February 2013 after working 15 years in Healthcare Financial Management. Andy covers sports for 11 high schools. In May 2012, he earned an AAS in Sports Management at Central Arizona College before graduating with a BS in Communication from Arizona State University in 2014.
