Pioneer Days 2013 is almost here; carnival tickets on sale

The excitement for Pioneer Days is in the air. Carnival tickets are now on sale at the Chamber office, Hayden Town Hall from Nancy Hinojos, and from Gloria Ruiz at the Winkelman Town Hall.

Wrist bands with eight tabs sell for $15; a sheet of 40 tickets sells for $25. The bracelets for unlimited rides sell for $17 and are for Thursday and Sunday only at the carnival ticket booths those days. Ticket sales end Friday, Mar. 15.

Frazier Shows will be back with their array of rides for all ages. Frazier Shows is a family business who enjoys coming to the Copper Basin area which they find to be friendly and welcoming.

Have you started working on your float or individual parade entry? All entries are introduced as they pass the judges stand, so try to get your forms to Margaret Gaston or the Chamber office before Wednesday, Mar. 20.

There is no fee to enter the parade which starts across the highway at Allen and Griffith, crosses Highway 177 to Upton, Alden to Tilbury, across the tracks to Beauford, dispersing on Industrial.

Entertainment on Friday will feature Doug and Shay Cardell who will offer a variety of music at the Cul De Sac at the end of vendor row from 6 to 10 p.m. The Cardells play a variety of instruments and their background music is their own mix.

This year’s contestants for the Copper Basin Idol will perform at the Cul De Sac on Saturday from 4-5 pm followed by Phantoms Ghost at 7:30.

With the team roping by R&R Productions at the Posse arena, Little League softball tournament, horseshoes at the Elks and the Rotary Steak dinner at the GKI there is something for everyone.
