The Pinal Rural Fire/Rescue and Medical District hosted a training session on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017. The training was a simulated rollover motor vehicle accident extrication event. Twenty firefighters attended from the Douglas Fire Department, Regional Fire and Rescue from Casa Grande, Navajo Nation Fire & Rescue from New Mexico and Pinal Rural.
The vehicles used in the event were donated by community members.
Luis Lopez, owner of the Rancheros Carniceria Meat Market donated food and his time cooking up a barbecue for the firefighters and people that showed up.
Another training session was planned for Sunday, Feb. 19.
