On Friday, March 23, Pinal County Attorney James Walsh presented a check for $2,100 to the Central Arizona College’s Aravaipa Campus “College For Kids“ program. Elissa Craig accepted the check and thanked Walsh on behalf of program director Jaime Wolgast and Central Arizona College. College for Kids 2012 is a hands-on summer program that brings the fun and excitement of science to local children. The program is held at the Central Arizona College’s Aravaipa Campus for children exiting the second grade through those exiting sixth grade. The grant money from the Pinal County Attorney’s Office will help support the program and provide scholarships for children whose family may not be able to afford the tuition. (John Hernandez photo)
