Pinal County Homicide Detectives are currently working to confirm the identity of a deceased male found in the San Carlos Apache Reservation area near Dudleyville.
On Jan. 17, 2013, Tribal Police contacted the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and informed them that a non-Native American body was found on reservation land deceased due to apparent exposure. Because the victim was not a Native American, jurisdiction belonged to PCSO.
PCSO Public Information Officer Tim Gaffney said the case is still under investigation. “Preliminarily,” Gaffney said, “it appears to be an exposure death; no sign of foul play.”
The victim has been identified as a male, 62 years of age. Detectives are in the process of confirming his name and notifying next of kin.
