Patricia Bachelier, 78, known as “Patsy” by many of her friends and family, peacefully passed away June 19 at Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales after being diagnosed with lung cancer a short two months ago. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren at her time of death.
Patsy was born April 12, 1935 to Marina and Celestino Flores of Winkelman. After graduating from Hayden High School in 1953, she attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Tucson. Upon completion, she worked as a registered nurse for 51 years. Patsy enjoyed cooking and the outdoors. Her family was her life.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Marcel G. Bachelier Jr. and their four children, Mary Janine of Tucson, Marcel (Christy), Paul (Maria Fernanda), Peter (Nora) of Sierra Vista; 11 grandchildren; her sister, Gloied Apodaca of Oracle; Aunt Mercedes Gnona from Tucson; and many nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her father, Celestino P. Flores; mother, Monterde Flores; and her brother, Celestino Flores Jr.
Her funeral Mass was Tues., June 25 at Most Holy Nativity Church in Rio Rico. All arrangements were handled by Adair Carroon Mortuary in Nogales.
