Pastor’s Corner – Trust in the Lord

Sometimes people say, “no one understands me or what I am going through.”  In answer to that statement, let’s take a look at Psalm 189.

“O Lord, You know me.  You know when I sit or stand.  You hear and understand my thoughts.  You watch me coming and going, You are familiar with all my ways.  Before I speak, you totally know what I am about to say.”

Wow!  It sounds like there really is someone who completely understands what we are going through.  It’s our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  In Hebrews 4:15 we discover that while living on earth; “Jesus was tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he did not sin.”

There is no problem that we will encounter in our lives, that Jesus does not fully understand.  There is no experience we go through that He hasn’t already experienced also.

We are not alone.  We have a friend who has walked the path already, successfully!  He knows what we are thinking before we do.  He knows when we do good and when we royally blow it.  He knows our shortcomings and our potential.

If you don’t know Him personally, get to know Jesus as your very best friend.  Look to Him for advice and guidance in your life.  Because He loves you, He will never lead you down the wrong path.  Trust Him with your life and future; He knows what is best.
